Digital perimeter security.

Continuous monitoring along routes with fibre-based sensor technology and DAS. Alerts on activity that indicates excavation or unwanted proximity.

01

What is digital perimeter security?.

Digital perimeter security means continuous monitoring of a defined area around critical infrastructure. Fibre-optic cables act as distributed sensors that register vibrations, movement and acoustic signals in real time.

The system distinguishes between normal activity (traffic, weather) and potentially harmful activity (mechanical excavation, drilling, sabotage) using Landmarker's classification algorithms.

Worth knowing

Who is it for?

Grid companies, fibre operators, municipalities with critical water and waste infrastructure, and other owners of infrastructure that must be protected from unauthorised activity.

02

How it works.

  • A DAS unit is connected to existing fibre in the critical route
  • Sensor signals are continuously analysed by Landmarker's algorithms
  • Activity classification happens in real time
  • Automatic alerts are sent to the operator on detected threat
  • Events are logged with timestamp, position and classification
  • Reports are generated automatically for NIS2 requirements

03

NIS2 and the Digital Security Act.

The Digital Security Act (NIS2) requires owners of critical infrastructure to have systems for early detection and alerting. Landmarker's perimeter security is built to meet these requirements, with an event log and documentation ready for reporting within 24 and 72 hours.
